Un arbre, deux vies—the art of giving a second life to old grapevines and used wine barrels—is much more than just craftsmanship: it is a true poetry of the terroir. Born from Romain Guionie's passion for raw materials, this unique arts and crafts project transforms twisted vines and barrel staves into one-of-a-kind pieces. From lamps and sculptures to eco-responsible furniture and decorative objects, discover upcycled creations that tell the story of the vineyard long after their life in the plots.
The Open House Programme on June 6th & 7th in Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac
To celebrate its 8th anniversary, the Un Arbre Deux Vies workshop is throwing its doors wide open on Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th in Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac. Throughout the weekend, exciting animations await you in the heart of the workshop. You are warmly invited to visit the creative space, meet the passionate woodturner Romain Guionie in person, explore his artisanal collections, and learn more about this unique upcycling approach in the Bordeaux vineyard.
Live woodturning demonstrations will give you a firsthand look at how raw material comes to life right before your eyes.

Wine Tasting, Pop-up Wine Bar, and Wine Experiences with La Closerie de Fronsac
To make this open house weekend even more festive, vibrant, and memorable, an exclusive wine tasting in collaboration with La Closerie de Fronsac will take place on-site all weekend long! As part of this friendly wine-tourism experience, you will get to savor characterful cuvées from the famous Fronsac and Canon-Fronsac appellations, directly produced by our family-owned wine estate. You can already explore our wines from La Closerie de Fronsac on our online boutique.
🍷✨ The Traveling Wine Bar by Les Fantaisies de Bacchus : To host these moments of sharing and bring a lively vineyard-guinguette vibe to the event, Aurélie will be setting up her pop-up wine bar right inside the workshop! Founder of Les Fantaisies de Bacchus and a third-generation winemaker's daughter, Aurélie is a true matchmaker between the world of events and the world of wine. She will be behind her bar all weekend to offer memorable, warm, and approachable wine experiences. Sharing the simpler pleasures of wine and telling the story of viticulture in a completely fresh way—always with a smile—is her ultimate goal !
